Rare first edition of the Portuguese translation. The original German-language edition has the title Portugal Erinnerungen aus dem Jahre 1842, published in Mayence in 1843. Bernardes Branco printed the first edition of the Portuguese translation in 1842, but it seems to be an error, since publication would be unlikely of the translation in the year to which the events reported are reported, and knowing that the second edition is from 1845, this will certainly be the first. He says he never saw any copies of the original edition. Prince Licknowsky was a brilliant Prussian military man, ceasing to be in 1838 to follow the flags of D. Carlos who became a field assistant. He returned to Germany for two years. After a visit to Portugal in 1842, he took a seat in the Frankfurt Parliament in 1848, having been assassinated that year on the occasion of the armistice with Denmark.
Copy with modest binding with handling signs. Brochure cover with slight tear without affecting the typographic stain, core in good condition.
