. "... IN FR LUIS CACEGAS the same Order, and Province and chronicler della Reformed style and order, and amplified in hits, and particularities IN FR:.. LUIS DE SOUSA Son of Bemfica Convent PART FOUR OF HISTORY S. SUNDAYS OF PARTICULAR THE KINGDOM, AND ACHIEVEMENTS De Portugal. OFFERECIDA A `AUGUSTA Majesty Delrey our Lord Dom Joao V. Fr. FOR LUCAS Sta. CATHARINA, chronicler of the Order of Preachers, and Academic of the Royal Academy. "
Innocent xiii-353, V-328, xii-353, xvi-73 and v-202: "Fr. Luiz de Cacegas, the St. Dominic`s order. He was born in 1640 and died in the convent of his order in Bemfica, according to Fr. Luiz de Sousa, in 1610, seventy years of age. It was auctor d`s life. Fr. Bartholomew of the Martyrs, and the first part of the story of St. Dominic expanded and published later by Fr. Luiz de Sousa. (v. this name in the CCID. I take v, p. 327.) about these works is of interest to the study published by Joaquim FS Firmo in Illustração People, vol. ii, paragraphs 42 and 43 of 1868.Fr. Luis de Sousa (1), called the century Manuel de Sousa Coutinho, fourth son of Lopo de Sousa Coutinho, whose memory has been done to pay. 192 of this volume. n. in Santarem, in the year 1555, according to the opinion of some of its biographos. Reportedly after concluded the first studies, determine to follow the profession of arms or had joined, as some say, the Military Order of Malta, and aboard a galley of the same order was captive by the Moors, and taken to Algiers, by years of 1575 ?. this city acquired knowledge and amisade tract with Miguel de Cervantes, who had been to ahi taken in the same condition shortly before. Rescued, apparently in the year 1577 (the same who died in his father), he returned to Portugal via Spain, most likely in the opinion by the years of 1579. He married between 1584 and 1586 with D. Magdalena de Vilhena, taken by widow of King John of Portugal, passing for dead in the Day of Africa and continued living, now in Lisbon, now in Almada villa. It is known that was in Madrid in the year 1600, and is believed to emprehendêra then a trip ace Indias Occidentaes, where return to his country in 1604, or the following year. Lived for some years with his family, until in 1613 he and his wife took the agreement to separate, collecting is a convent of Sacramento to Lisbon, and entering the other at St. Somingos of Bemfica. Ahi the last anno the novitiate professed to 8 september 1614, then changing the name in the Fr. Luis de Sousa. The reason for this separation is still doubtful to many, that will take account of the novel that recounts Fr. Antonio of the Incarnation in the prologue of the second part of the story of St. Dominic others but admittem as true and plausible. First part of the History of St. Dominic, particularly the kingdom and achievements of Portugal, by Fr. Luis Cacegas in the same order and provincia, and chronicler della. Reformed in Estylo and order, and expanded in successful outcomes and characteristics etc. printed in the convent of St. Dominic of Bemfica for Giraldo`s Vineyard 1623. fol. vi? leaves numbered ahead, and stamped with an open face engraving carried the chisel. Nine innumeradas leaves at the end, containing the taboada or index. Some copies of this edition bring in log engraving frontispiece belonging to it, a simple printed face, containing the same wording. - P. Francisco Leitão Ferreira in Chronologicas News from university, p. 288, says that the first part had been reprinted in the second edition, Lisbon, by Henrique Valente de Oliveira 1662. As for me, I declare that I could never see a copy of this reprint, or know any other witness to prove its existence. Second part of the History of St. Dominic particular the kingdom and achievements etc. etc. (Lisbon) in offic. brave Henrique de Oliveira 1662. fol. xiv? leaves, and most index of septe. the frontispiece, or engraving is carried diverse in the design of walking in the first part of the work. This second part was Fr. Antonio editor of the Incarnation. vej. I say in the article concerning this escriptor in Volume I of diccionario. Barbosa left the print wrong this time, putting it in 1626, and it slavishly copied the collector`s catalog called the academy. Third part of the History of St. Dominic etc. etc. Lisbon in offic. Sundays ram 1678. fol. xviii? p., and ten innumeradas with the index. carried a picture of this volume is the same as that served to the first volume. these three shares, which are Fr. Luis de Sousa, is joined unto the fourth, escripta by Fr. Lucas Sancta Catharina, which (. as I say in this volume to pay 202) was printed for the first time: lisbon, by José Antonio da Silva 1733. fol. these four parts assembled sahiram second edition, Lisbon, in offic. Antonio Rodrigues Gallardo 1767. fol. 4 tomes with xx? p. xxxviii? p. xviii? p. and xxviii? p. "... History of St. Dominic (n. ° 785) became the third edition in 1866 in typographia panorama, lopes editor. 8 6 tomes. Fr. Lucas Sancta Catharina, Dominican, chronicler of his province, Academic of the Royal Academy of History, etc. - N. in Lisbon in the year 1660, and m. 6 October 1740. History of St. Dominic, particularly the kingdom and achievements of Portugal. Quarter.
