REF.35472

Year 1970/80

Lisbon; Cultural Expansion Society; In-8º of 16 volumes; Hardcover

The complete poetic works of Armindo Rodrigues, a prominent figure in the Portuguese neo-realist movement. His literary work is deeply connected to the struggle for social justice, resistance against the Salazar regime, and the appreciation of the human condition. He spent much of his childhood in the Alentejo region, which influenced his poetic sensibility and keen attention to the country's rural and social realities. His poetry is marked by clear and vigorous language, with a strong emotional charge and social critique. Armindo Rodrigues has been honored by several writers and intellectuals, including José Saramago, who organized the anthology *The Questioning Poet* in 1979, bringing together a significant portion of his work. José Cardoso Pires also acknowledged Armindo Rodrigues' support in the publication of his first book. Exhibitions about his life and work were held in Estremoz, at the Portuguese Society of Authors and the Museum of Neo-Realism, celebrating his contributions to Portuguese literature and democratic resistance. This is the complete collection from the special edition of 50 numbered copies.
